- AVONDALE TUESDAY NIGHT WOMEN’S GOLF

- PLAY begins Tuesday, May 6th
with a Scramble and a 5:30 Shotgun
start. Check in each week at the pro shop for your hole
assignment and score card.
- TEAM LIMITS –
Tuesday night play will be
limited to the first 28 teams to sign up. Additional teams
may play Thursday night tee times.

- DUES are
$25.00 per person
payable to “Avondale Tuesday Night Women’s League”
and due at sign-up.
- GREEN FEES & CART RENTAL
– for non Avondale stockholders, green fees are $18.00.
Season punch cards are available for purchase. Avondale
members – please sign in at the pro shop. Cart rental is
$9.00 per cart or $4.50 per single.

- HANDICAP –
required to be established through GHIN system. If you do not
have a 9 or 18 hole handicap through another club or group,
you can sign up for a 9 hole handicap with our league. Cost
is $25.00 for a nine hole handicap and you must post 5 scores
to establish your handicap. If you need help, please ask in
the pro shop or ask one of us.

- SHOTGUN START
– 5:30 every Tuesday. Sign in at the pro shop every week to
find out what hole your team starts on and to find out the
game for the night. If you have questions on how to play or
score the game of the day, please ask! It’s a great
opportunity to learn more about the game of golf and with lots
of willing teachers.

- SCORECARDS
– complete your scorecard to include the following

and Game of the Week

last name of each player

Total
score for each player

Handicap
for each player (9 hole or ˝ your 18 hole)

Net score
for each player (score minus your handicap)

Game of
the week score for the team or each player

When
complete, sign and place in the league envelope on bulletin
board by the office

INCOMPLETE SCORECARDS WILL NOT BE COUNTED
TOWARDS TEAM COMPETITION
- MAKE –UP GAMES
are allowed if they
are played and score cards are turned in by the following
Sunday night. Games can be made up in advance. CLEARLY MARK
“MAKE-UP GAME FOR MONTH/DAY” on score card and place in the
league envelope.
- NOTIFY THE PRO
SHOP in
advance if your team is not playing Tuesday.

- WINNERS –
Scores and winners will be posted weekly. At the end of the
season, on August 26th, we will have an awards dinner after a
final night of play.

- SHORT A PLAYER
– if you are short a player for a night, you can arrange for a
substitute, play one player short, or play for the missing
player by each team member taking shots in turn (average your
handicap).

- 5 PERSON TEAMS
– you may sign up 5 people on your team and play 4 people each
week so you will have a built in sub. Dues are $25.00 per
player.

- ETIQUETTE
– Follow all golf course and USGA rules. Keep play moving.
Have fun but don’t hold up the team behind you. Be ready to
hit the ball when it’s your turn. Play ready golf. If you
don’t know the rule, please ask. This is a great opportunity
to learn more about the game of golf and increase your
enjoyment. Consider investing in a rules book.

- DRESS CODE
– Please observe Avondale’s dress code – shorts must be hemmed
and at least mid-thigh length; halter, spaghetti-strap or tube
tops are not acceptable. Any questions, ask in the pro shop.

- DINNER –
stay after play if you can for dinner, refreshments and
socializing.
