Avondale Men’s Club Click Here for 2010 Tournament Information
Our condolences go out to the Charlie Lines family. Charlie, one of the past Men’s Club officers, passed away June 24th afte r a short battle with lung cancer. Duane Rieker is now the ambulatory. For those of you that didn't know, Duane fell of his roof last fall and suffered a spiral fracture in his lower leg and ankle. After a lengthy recovery period, his wife Judy said he was going to therapy and was now limping. I was looking through the 2010 Avondale Golf Club roster and noticed that Fred Baker has been a member since 1968. The course was founded in 1967! We had a good turnout for the 2 man BB/Scramble tournament on June 12th. Brad Gordon had a hole-in-one on # 5, good for you Brad, and thanks for the beer. A reminder, if you haven't paid your $2.00 for the hole-in-one insurance, you will not receive any of the insurance money paid by those that have. A BIG Thank You to Dan Green for donating the stands to hold our tee sponsor signs! The Poker Run with the 18-Hole Ladies was cancelled on June, 17th on one of those rare days (this year) when it rained. It has been rescheduled to August 26th. Maybe the sun will be shining by then. Brad Warwick wants to remind everyone to turn in a scorecard every time you play! Checks with the Proshop indicate a score is not posted when rounds have been played. MIKE
